Our Beginning

In 1942 at the age of 22, Sam went to work for a manufacturer of pumps and hydronic accessories in the midwest. Sam worked in the applications department while going to night school to study mechanical engineering. This allowed him to develop a skill set that would serve him well when he was asked to relocate to work with the company’s representative in the Washington, DC area

Late 1960s

Sam DeSanto Co., Inc was Established

In the late ’60s, Sam decided to start his own business and formed Sam DeSanto Co., Inc., servicing the Washington, DC Metropolitan area. Sam’s philosophy of servicing the customers’ needs has been a cornerstone of the company ever since.

Like many small businesses, SDCI started in the basement of the owner’s home. Soon afterward, the company moved to a small office in Rockville, MD and the first sales associate came on board.

What Our Clients Say

“I went with AERCO and the Sam DeSanto Company because I know and trust them. We were able to provide recommendations for a completely new setup with the help of AERCO. The Modulex EXT 641 was the natural choice for this project thanks to its small footprint, flexible venting configurations, and reliability. The four modular units within the boiler make maintenance quick and easy, while AERCO’s efficiency helped save 70% in energy cost. The smaller footprint, ease of use, and peace of mind were all welcome upgrades for this Fire Marshal’s Office."

Office of the Fire Marshall

"Welders cost a lot more than regular HVAC mechanics. Plus, when you install field-welded systems, you have to leak test and inspect the duct, then insulate it, and then have it inspected again. This was the only product I’ve ever installed that was completely turnkey and shipped ready to install. It might be the first time we did an install and didn’t find there was something missing from the shipment. We found we could get this product much quicker than other [pre-fabricated] products we were looking at. Also, the back-up support we received from Eric Willie was great. He was there for the installation, giving us pointers throughout the process. It went really well!”
